Welcome to Peduli Anak, New Kids!

newkids

30 March’17 – This month we welcomed 5 new children into our growing family. While they all share similar sad background stories, they all have one thing in common: a safe place and a loving family in Peduli Anak!

Click on their name below to learn more about their story and how to help them:

ROYMAND (9) – Roymand comes from a broken home family. His parents divorced when he was still very young. After the divorce, his father left him and Roymand lived with his mother who later remarried. Roymand’s stepfather is a temperamental man and doesn’t seem to accept Roymand into his new family. His stepfather didn’t have a steady job and his mother was jobless.

ARKAM AKLLS (3) – Arkam comes from a broken home family. His mother divorced his father because he was abusive. At that time, Arkam was still in his mother’s womb. Arkam’s mother doesn’t have a job and lives off her family’s mercy. Arkam is Roymand’s half brother.

DAFIR HALFAN (9) – Dafir is the second child of three from his already divorced parents from Sumbawa Island. His mother left Dafir and his siblings, whereas his father remarried. However, due to extreme poverty and rejection from his stepmother, Dafir and his siblings are neglected, malnourished and didn’t have access to education. Dafir has a younger brother, AFAN HALFAN (6), who is also under Peduli Anak’s care.

ROSIANA NURIYATI (11) – Since she was 8 months old, Rosiana Nuriyati or Oci, has lived with foster parents. When she was in second grade, her birth parents took her back to their hometown in Sumbawa.
While living with her birth parents, Oci was never sent to school until they moved back to Lombok a year later. In Lombok, her birth parents started to exploit her by sending her to beg on the streets around Mataram mall.
