9 November 2023 – One of our children, Egi, has actively participated in various literacy competitions throughout the year. Earlier, he took part in several speech and storytelling contests and recently entered another speech competition. This event was unique as it required participants to deliver their speeches in Sasak, the local language of Lombok Island residents.

In his speech, Egi explored the impact of modernization on diminishing local cultures and the resulting shift in the use of local languages. He delivered his speech with calm confidence, commanding the stage impressively.

Mr. Muhammadun, the Principal of Peduli Anak Primary School, remarked, “We are proud of Egi. His confident delivery and effective communication skills are the fruits of his diligent practice.”

This competition attracted students from numerous primary schools across West Nusa Tenggara. Egi earned a well-deserved third place. Inspired by his recent achievement, he now aims to participate in national-level speech competitions.
