14 December 2023 – On this day, Peduli Anak School held an event entitled “The Nusantara Festival of Local Wisdom in Art and Culture.” In this event, children from primary and middle schools were actively involved in art performances and a bazaar. Some showcased their artistic skills on stage, while others created products for sale at the bazaar.

In the bazaar, dish soap and accessories such as bracelets and key chains were the featured products. All were made by the middle school students of Peduli Anak School. Of course, other children also sold snacks and cold drinks. Through this bazaar, the children learned about commerce.

Then, in the hall, each performance by the children on stage was warmly received by the invited guests. Various performances were executed nicely and impressively, ranging from singing and dancing to mime, drama, and theatrics. They left the audience, consisting of students, parents, staff of Peduli Anak, and officials from the education office, amazed.

Ibu Ria, a second-grade homeroom teacher and head of the event committee, said, “This activity is actually routinely carried out at the end of each semester. But this time, the scale is bigger with a grander stage show. In line with the event’s theme, we aim to highlight local cultural arts so that these children continue to remember and can preserve them.”

The success of this event is attributed to the collaborative efforts of all involved parties, including the children, teachers, staff, and invited guests. The children also seemed happy to enjoy the day before receiving their report cards the next day.
