2 March 2024 – The children warmly welcomed the team from Sweet Cravings Donuts, a bakery in Mataram. They arrived with delicious donuts and bread. Their visit was not solely about sharing donuts and bread but also involved inviting the children to participate in decorating the donuts. Naturally, the children were very enthusiastic, especially upon seeing the colorful glazes and various toppings that were prepared. They lined up in queues, eagerly waiting for their turn to decorate the donuts according to their own designs.

Novita, the owner of Sweet Cravings Donuts, said, “We are very happy to meet the children here. They are also creative in decorating donuts. We are so excited and hope to return and invite them to decorate donuts again.”

Throughout the activity, the children behaved quite well. They came up with various ideas for decorating the donuts. Many of them were fond of the chocolate and matcha green glazes. They sprinkled a variety of toppings, such as chocolate sprinkles, cereals, and Oreos. When decorating the donuts, the children paid close attention to matching colors that suited their tastes.

“This is a fun afternoon!” exclaimed Wafa, one of the children at Peduli Anak, while decorating her donut.

At the activity’s conclusion, the children collectively cleaned up the venue. They also assisted the Sweet Cravings Donuts team in tidying up the tables and equipment used for placing the various toppings and colorful glazes. They expressed their gratitude for the visit and the donuts provided by the Sweet Cravings team.
