Muhammad Ali Gifary or Ali, used to live in a dirty small house together with his mother, stepfather and three half-brothers. When his mother was pregnant with his elder brother, his father left his mother.
Later, his mother decided to send him and his brother to their grandmother whose life was also unfortunate. Sadly, their grandmother could not take care of them anymore due to her old age and poverty.
The conditions worsened when Ali was back to his mother’s home. His stepfather was a motorcycle taxi driver with an unstable income. Since Ali and his brother were back with their mother, his stepfather had to support 5 children: Ali, his brother and his 3 stepbrothers.
The new family believed Ali and his brother were not part of the family. Ali became thin and weak.
Ali was in the first grade of primary school but he had to stop due to the lack of money for his education. This became worse because his mother could do nothing for him and his brother.
Ali and his brother were recommended by a social worker of Peduli Anak Foundation to live in our children home.
In the foundation, Ali seems to fit in and enjoys living there. He now can go to school and do activities like other children. Here, Ali is a cheerful boy. He easily adjusts himself to others. He is now in grade one at Peduli Anak primary school. At school, Ali is keen of drawing and good at Mathematics (additions and subtractions). He likes watching cartoons on TV.
