Crowdfunding: Peduli Anak & JeNiAl Association Give Energy to Education

Solar panel

4 Jan’17 – Peduli Anak and JeNiAl Association are excited to launch our crowdfunding campaign: Kokoon Project – Give Energy to Education.

Peduli Anak is an NGO on Lombok Indonesia providing underprivileged children with home, education, medical support, advocacy and family care. As we’re working within the constraints of tight budget, we struggle to pay energy bills and suffer from frequent blackouts as they’re common throughout Lombok and eastern part of Indonesia in general.

JeNiAl Association is an association founded by three fresh French graduates: Jean, Nicolas, and Alexia. After studying for years in Politics and Energy Engineering, they decided to go into the field! They are committed to offering their support and technical skills to local initiatives to create a lasting positive impact.

With the abundant energy from the sun all year long on Lombok island, the solar energy is the answer to our future renewable energy.

Thanks to our French volunteers who initiated the idea, we’ve considered to set up solar panels in order to ensure our energy independence and cut our energy bills. This also means more funding towards our education projects.

After a design from Syspec Master (part of Arts & Métiers Paristech), JeNiAl Association is raising funds to pay a skilled installation company, Contained Energy, to build the installation in February 2017.

JeNiAl will then visit the project in March 2017 to check the installation, train a solar officer and teach renewable energy to children. All money raised here will go for the solar panel installation and nothing for JeNiAl expenses, as their sole objective is to support local initiatives and make it a lasting contribution.

The campaign is open for the whole month of January 2017. Your contribution is much appreciated! Click here to support and learn more about this project.
