15 Oct’2016 – 25 students and 3 facilitators from Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech Mara (KUPTM), Kuala Lumpur, visited Peduli Anak as part of their charity program in Lombok.

The college decided to visit Peduli Anak after hearing wonderful experiences from past Malaysian volunteers and following our updates on the Internet. The students in the group have actively organized fundraising and charity events at their college in order to help the local communities, and now they extended their help across the border to Indonesia!

The college students spent the day organizing games for children and getting to know the children through sharing session. The children were very enthusiastic to join the activities. Our Malaysian guests even performed dance with “Flashlight” song from Jessie J, and invited us to join their performance in the stage! What a fun afternoon we had!

In accordance with their program theme, “Spread the love in Lombok,” the students bought goods for children and donation for Peduli Anak. At the end of the program, they presented us a souvenir, the miniature of the Petronas Tower. Some of the kids mistook it as the Monas monument in Jakarta!  But now they know the famous landmark of Malaysia.

Thank you, KUPTM and see you again in Lombok!
