A Heartwarming Ramadan Thanks to FBS
Ramadan is a time for reflection, sharing, and togetherness—and this year, it was made extra special for the children of Peduli Anak thanks to the generous support of FBS, a leading global broker. With a donation of US$ 10,000, FBS helped us provide everything our children needed throughout the holy month, allowing them to celebrate with full hearts and joyful spirits.
This generous contribution covered essential needs such as daily iftar and suhoor meals, ingredients for homemade cookies, and even Eid gifts that brought huge smiles to the children’s faces.
A Special Iftar for the Whole Family
One of the highlights of this Ramadan was the big iftar event hosted by FBS. All of Peduli Anak’s children and staff gathered to share a delicious iftar meal together in the hall. The room buzzed with happiness, filled with laughter and warm conversations as plates were shared and stories exchanged.
This event wasn’t just about food—it was about creating memories and cherishing moments of unity as one big family. The children’s excitement could be seen even before the call to maghrib prayer, eagerly anticipating the wide variety of dishes prepared just for them.
Eid Gifts That Brought Pure Joy
Thanks to FBS, the children also received brand new prayer gowns (mukena), sarongs, hijabs, and footwear—all of which they proudly wore during the Eid celebration. These thoughtful gifts meant the world to our children, many of whom would not have had the chance to receive new clothes for Eid without this support.
For them, it wasn’t just about having something new—it was a chance to feel included and joyful, dressed in their best to celebrate one of the most important days of the year.
Cookie-Making Festivities with Foster Mothers
As Eid approached, the festive spirit grew even stronger. With the donated funds, the children and their foster mothers went shopping for ingredients to bake cookies. It was a delightful scene—laughter echoed in the kitchen as children mixed dough, shaped cookies, and even experimented with chocolate and traditional-style treats.
On Eid day, these homemade cookies and sweets were proudly shared and enjoyed by everyone. For many of the children, it was their first experience making their own Eid treats—something they’ll surely remember for years to come.
