19 May’17 – The solar plant has been installed! This weekend, the Contained Energy team arrived in Peduli Anak to install the solar panels.

The Solar plant works through the panels absorbing the sunlight and transferred to the inverter which connected to the PLN (national electricity company) grid. So both electricity sources are integrated and possessed the import & export system. The panels provide all electricity needed for Peduli Anak, but when the power is not enough then it will take from the PLN, and vice versa. The capacity of the solar plant is 4500 Watt.

With this solar plant, we can reduce our electricity consumption from PLN and decrease our monthly bills. We’re looking forward to its efficiency starting in next month.

All this wouldn’t be made possible without the hard work and fundraising from Jenial Association.  We’d also like to thank the following companies and organizations for their contribution: Agap2, PACE Energy, FUMA Volunteers and notable donations from Mr Chiel, Ms. Sissel, and Ms. Ratna.
