Sakina’s parents separated when she was born. Her mother left her to work overseas when she was 2 years old. Since then there has been no contact with the mother. Sakina lived with her aunt and uncle. Due to extreme poverty,  the family struggled to live everyday. Sakina often went to her neighbors for food. She practically lived from her neighbors’ mercy. Peduli Anak saved Sakina and her brother, Ibnu. They now live in Peduli Anak and attend the kindergarten class.
