GM Foundation Supports Digital Skills
Peduli Anak is grateful to receive sponsorship from the GM Foundation to run a year long computer program and support the maintenance of our computer lab. This partnership gives children in our care access to meaningful digital learning and helps prepare them for a world that is increasingly shaped by technology. The GM Foundation is committed to empowering orphaned children through direct support, innovative use of technology, and transparent, long term impact.
A Year of Digital Learning
Through this support, GM Foundation makes it possible for Peduli Anak to offer regular computer classes throughout the year. The program is designed to give children practical digital skills that can support their education, confidence, and future opportunities.
As part of the program, GM Foundation also sponsors a dedicated computer teacher at Peduli Anak. The teacher guides children through basic computer skills, safe and responsible use of technology, and introductions to coding and artificial intelligence. This helps children go beyond simply using technology and begin to understand how it works and how it can be used creatively.
Building Digital Skills
In class, children learn everything from basic computer use and office software to simple graphic design and beginner coding. Lessons are structured step by step so children can follow along comfortably and build their skills over time.
Just as importantly, the classes help children develop problem solving skills, creativity, and confidence that support them not only in learning, but in everyday life as well
Caring for the Computer Lab
Alongside the classes, GM Foundation also supports the care and maintenance of the computer lab to make sure all equipment remains safe, reliable, and comfortable for children to use. This includes routine checks, software updates, and technical support whenever needed.
A well maintained learning space allows children to focus on learning without disruption and ensures the program can continue in a sustainable way over the long term.
