Gempita Anjani, or Gempita, has faced hardship since birth. Her parents divorced before she was born, and her father’s whereabouts remain unknown. Her mother passed away when she was seven months old, followed by the death of her grandmother. She was then raised by her great-grandmother, who is very elderly. Gempita was often left unsupervised, spending most of her days outside.

She was referred to Peduli Anak to receive proper care, live in a safer environment, and get the chance to go to school.
