Celebrating the School Break in a Different Way
The school break took on a different meaning at Peduli Anak as children filled their days with laughter, creativity, and friendly competition through a series of activities organised by the Peduli Anak Youth Group (Karang Taruna). With a different challenge planned each day, the holiday quickly became something everyone looked forward to.
From the very first activity, the children joined in with excitement. They cheered each other on, worked together, and embraced every challenge with enthusiasm. More than simply taking a break from school, it became a chance to try new things, strengthen friendships, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

A New Challenge Every Day
No two days were the same. Throughout the school break, the children took part in a wide variety of activities, including a fashion show, dance competition, Selodor, a blindfolded makeup challenge, straw relay races, wooden block races, and the ever popular sarong ball game.
Each activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, and mutual support. Whether the challenge called for balance, coordination, or quick thinking, the children gave it their all while cheering one another on. The laughter that echoed throughout each day was a reminder that the greatest joy came from sharing the experience together.
Learning to Lead Behind the Scenes
While the younger children enjoyed the activities, members of the Peduli Anak Youth Group were busy making everything happen. They planned the programme, prepared the equipment, organised each competition, and made sure everyone had the chance to participate.
Through the experience, they developed practical skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and responsibility. More importantly, they discovered that creating joyful experiences for others begins with thoughtful preparation, cooperation, and a willingness to serve.

The activities offered the children far more than a fun way to spend their school break. They created new experiences, strengthened friendships, and filled each day with moments they will always remember.
At the same time, the members of the Peduli Anak Youth Group experienced their own journey of growth. By taking responsibility for organising the activities, they learned that leadership is not about being in charge. It is about caring for others, working together, and creating opportunities for everyone to feel included.
Seeing children and young people grow alongside one another is one of the things that makes the Peduli Anak community so special. Through simple activities like these, they learn that some of life’s most valuable lessons come not only from participating, but also from serving, encouraging, and bringing joy to others.
