Help the Dhuafa Orphans Get Medical Treatment
“My mother left me. My feet often get sore because no one takes care of me. ”- Sasono (10)
Sasono is an only child. His parents divorced when he was a child. Sadly, Sasono’s mother neglected him. He was entrusted to a relative. Unfortunately, he also had economic problems that made him unable to care for Sasono. While his parents’ whereabouts are unknown.
Not only Sasono, but many children at Peduli Anak share the same fate as Sasono. Peduli Anak cares for hundreds of abandoned orphans and poor children. Not only providing shelter and school, but they are also given love and health care. This is very important especially in a pandemic situation like now. Health care is carried out at the Peduli Anak clinic. Although small, this clinic is a mainstay for the children in the orphanage.
Now, more and more children come to live at Peduli Anak. Their health care has also increased. Moreover, many children come with health problems such as skin infections, ear infections, and even heart problems. This is our concern so that they can be healthy.
Some children do have health insurance, but many children who have just arrived at the foundation still don’t have one. Sometimes, they need emergency treatment in the hospital so they need immediate treatment. We also routinely screen for hepatitis B and HIV for children who have just joined Peduli Anak. The medical personnel in the clinic also provide education about health and first aid to children and the staff regularly.
Our hope is that the clinic is not only open for children in the orphanage but also for the surrounding community. Therefore, your support will help us in realizing this hope. A little help from you can maintain the health of these abandoned orphans.
Your help we receive will be used to:
- Completing medicines at the clinic
- Medical expenses in an emergency
- Provision of additional vitamins and nutrition for children in the home
- Complete clinic equipment
