SHARING IN THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN. For 200 Orphans and Underprivileged Children.
The month of Ramadan is approaching. Muslims around the world look forward to fasting and gathering with family at suhoor and iftar meals.
However, not everyone is fortunate enough to spend Ramadan joyfully with their families, such as the orphans and abandoned children at the Peduli Anak Foundation who have to go through Ramadan without their families.
Azril Al Fahrizi (10) is one of these abandoned children. His parents separated and left him to live with his elderly grandmother. In order to eat, he busks on the street every day. In fact, Azril often sleeps on the side of the road, in a tree, or in a hut on the edge of a rice field. His life was so miserable before he finally joined the foundation.
That’s why Chaim Fetter, a Dutch convert, founded the foundation 17 years ago. He was willing to sell his assets in the Netherlands to help children like Azril. Chaim wants to help more disadvantaged children so that their future is saved.
Not only Azril, but there are more than 200 children under the care of the foundation. They need love, a safe place to live, education, and healthcare so they can live a proper life and fulfill their dreams. However, to make this happen, the foundation needs support from various parties, including you, the donors.
