Access to Legal Identity for Peduli Anak Children
Peduli Anak Foundation continues to ensure that every child under our care receives full access to their fundamental rights as Indonesian citizens. One of the most essential civil rights is having a national ID, a document that provides access to public services and future opportunities.
This month, we welcomed a visit from the Department of Population and Civil Registration (DUKCAPIL), who came to our center to carry out the registration and issuance process for national ID cards for children who have reached the age of 17. Their on-site service made the administrative process much smoother, especially for children who previously had no access to official documents due to family circumstances or challenging social backgrounds.

Ensuring Access to Essential Services
Possessing an ID card plays a vital role as children transition into the next stage of their lives. With an official identity, they can access healthcare, pursue higher education, join vocational training programs, and open bank accounts to begin managing their finances. An ID card is also required for formal employment, providing a stronger pathway toward economic independence.
Collaboration with Government
DUKCAPIL’s visit to Peduli Anak highlights the importance of collaboration between government institutions and social organizations. Their proactive approach not only simplifies administrative procedures but also reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that vulnerable children receive equal protection and recognition under the law. This initiative helps remove barriers often faced by those who grow up without full family support.

Strengthening the Path Toward Independence
For children, having an ID card represents more than a legal requirement as they become adults. It is a recognition of their place in society and serves as a foundation for accessing employment, participating in empowerment programs, and making informed life decisions. This official identity gives them the confidence and security needed to build a stable and independent future.
Peduli Anak’s Commitment to Upholding Civil Rights
As an organization dedicated to child protection and empowerment, Peduli Anak is committed to ensuring that every child receives full access to legal identification. We believe that a recognized identity is a crucial step toward securing other rights that support their development and well-being. Through our collaboration with government agencies, we aim to provide children with the opportunities they need to build dignified and meaningful lives.
We extend our sincere appreciation to DUKCAPIL for their continued support and cooperation. This joint effort marks an important milestone in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow, participate, and move toward adulthood with the confidence, skills, and rights they deserve.
