Fun and Friendship: Welcoming Sekolah Cita Buana to Peduli Anak
On April 29, Peduli Anak had the pleasure of welcoming 25 Middle School students from Sekolah Cita Buana Jakarta, along with their dedicated teachers. Their visit was filled with laughter, color, and meaningful connections as they spent the day engaging in various fun activities with our Primary School and Kindergarten students.
The energy around the playground and classrooms was infectious as soon as the visitors arrived. After a brief introduction, the children and the Sekolah Cita Buana students were divided into smaller groups, ready to embark on a morning of creativity and learning.
Colors And New Connections
In one corner of the playground, groups of children and their new friends from Sekolah Cita Buana gathered around blank canvas bags, paintbrushes in hand. It didn’t take long before splashes of color filled the bags with unique patterns and joyful artwork. Each child beamed with pride as they created something beautiful to take home — a small but colorful reminder of a special day.

It didn’t take long for everyone to loosen up. Smiles were exchanged, stories were shared, and friendships began to bloom naturally throughout the day. The students of Sekolah Cita Buana showed patience and kindness, guiding the younger children through activities and cheering them on.
Moments of Discovery
One of the highlights of the day was the hands-on science experiment. Using only food coloring, water, and cooking oil, the children learned about density and chemical reactions in the most delightful way. Wide-eyed with amazement, they watched the colorful drops dance and swirl, creating tiny waves inside clear cups.
“Today wasn’t just about playing,” Mr. Fandi, a teacher of Peduli Anak shared. “The children learned so much without feeling like they were in a typical classroom. They were so proud of themselves.”

A Teacher’s Reflection
Mrs. Vita, one of the teachers accompanying the Sekolah Cita Buana students, shared her heartfelt thoughts about the experience:
“Seeing our students interact with the children of Peduli Anak was truly heartwarming. They learned not just to teach, but to listen, to connect, and to care. I believe today’s experience opened their eyes to the beauty of sharing and building friendships beyond differences. It was equally valuable for the children here, who welcomed us so warmly and showed so much spirit and creativity.”
Her words capture the spirit of the day — a shared experience that left a lasting impact on everyone involved.
A Heartwarming Day to Remember
The visit was more than just a school trip; it was a celebration of connection, compassion, and creativity. As the activities wrapped up and it was time to say goodbye, the smiles lingered, and promises to meet again someday were whispered between new friends.
At Peduli Anak, days like this remind us that sometimes, the simplest moments — a shared paintbrush, a helping hand, a game played together — are the ones that weave the strongest bonds. We are grateful to Sekolah Cita Buana for sharing their energy, kindness, and creativity with us, and we look forward to more days filled with laughter, learning, and friendship.
