A Joyful Independence Day Celebration
This year’s Independence Day celebration brought the entire Peduli Anak community together for a lively day of fun and togetherness. Our children, foster mothers, counsellors, teachers, and other staff all joined the celebrations, creating a special occasion shared by everyone.
The day began with a group walk, with children and staff enjoying a relaxed morning together. Afterwards, everyone gathered in the Peduli Anak courtyard for performances by the children, including traditional dances and songs. With the whole community there to cheer them on, the celebration quickly became even more lively.
Walking and Celebrating Together
The morning walk was a simple way to start the celebration. Children and staff walked together, chatted, laughed, and enjoyed a break from their usual routines. It was a chance for everyone to spend time together in a relaxed setting before the rest of the day’s activities began.
Later, the children took turns performing in the courtyard. Some performed traditional dances, while others sang in front of their friends and staff. Their performances were met with plenty of applause and encouragement, making this one of the highlights of the celebration.
Celebrating Until the Very End
The excitement continued with the door prize distribution, bringing the day’s celebrations to a fun close. Children and staff waited eagerly as names were called, with plenty of cheers whenever someone received a prize.
From the morning walk and children’s performances to the door prizes at the end, every part of the celebration offered a chance to enjoy Independence Day together. It was not just a day for the children, but a celebration shared by the whole Peduli Anak community.
At Peduli Anak, celebrations like this are part of the shared experience of life within our community. Walking together, performing, cheering one another on, and enjoying the day side by side gave children and staff a chance to connect outside their usual routines.
Celebrating Independence Day together made the occasion even more meaningful. With children and staff sharing the day as one community, the celebration was filled with laughter, connection, and memories that we will carry with us.
