From Local Stage to National Spotlight

Our talented pantomime performers, Helmi and Wahyu, have once again stepped into the spotlight — this time for a national-level competition. After their captivating performance at a recent local art festival, the duo was selected to join a wider stage through a national competition that required video submissions instead of a live performance.

The submission process didn’t make it any easier. In fact, it brought a new kind of challenge for the boys: performing their full routine on camera — in just six minutes — with no audience, no applause, and no second takes.

Preparing for a Powerful Performance

To prepare, the Peduli Anak team — including teachers, their performance coach, and our content staff — worked together to set the stage, handle the filming, and support Helmi and Wahyu through the entire process.

Even though there was no live audience, nerves still kicked in. But with words of encouragement from their coach and teachers, the boys found the courage to channel their emotions into their performance.

And the result? A powerful act full of heart and expression — where they conveyed their message without a single word, but with every movement and gesture telling a story.

A Performer’s Hope

Wahyu, who has become more confident with every performance, shared his thoughts after wrapping the video shoot:

“I hope our performance can touch the judges’ hearts,” Wahyu said. “Even though it wasn’t on a real stage, I gave my best. I hope this can be a way for more people to see our message and support our dream.”

His words reflect the dedication and sincerity that both he and Helmi poured into the competition — not just to win, but to express something meaningful and inspire others through art.

Reaching Higher, Dreaming Bigger

We are incredibly proud of Helmi and Wahyu for their courage, discipline, and creativity. Competing at the national level is a big step, and it shows just how far their talent and hard work have taken them.

Now, we wait with hope and excitement for the competition results — and we keep our fingers crossed that their powerful pantomime will earn them first place. No matter the outcome, they’ve already made us proud.

Great job, boys! You’ve shown that when passion meets preparation, the stage — even through a screen — can be yours.
