A Holiday Cooking Class with the Children
During the school break, the children at Peduli Anak took part in a simple cooking class with their caregivers. They had the chance to make their own snacks and enjoy learning through a hands-on activity.
Instead of just watching, the children were involved in every step. They measured ingredients, mixed the batter, and decorated what they made. The atmosphere was relaxed, curious, and full of quiet excitement.

Learning by Doing
By taking part directly, the children practiced a range of important skills. They focused on instructions, improved their coordination, and learned to be patient as each step took time.
They also learned how to work together. They helped one another, shared tasks, and encouraged each other along the way. These small moments of teamwork are just as valuable as the activity itself.
The cooking class was about more than preparing food. It helped build confidence. Seeing the results of their own efforts gave the children a sense of pride and encouraged them to keep trying new things.
Building Life Skills
Activities like this introduce children to simple but useful life skills. They learn about ingredients, cleanliness, and the importance of following steps carefully and safely.
These habits support their independence and help them feel more capable in their daily lives.

A Supportive and Safe Experience
The presence of caregivers made the children feel supported and safe. They were free to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again without fear of being judged.
This kind of environment helps children grow emotionally as well as practically. It strengthens trust, builds healthy relationships, and encourages children to believe in themselves.
Through activities like this cooking class, Peduli Anak continues to create learning experiences that are close to the children’s everyday lives and meaningful to their development.
We believe that small moments of learning, care, and connection play an important role in shaping a child’s future. Thank you to everyone who continues to support these efforts and walk alongside our children on their journey.
