The Independence Day Spirit Begins
As Indonesia’s Independence Day approaches, the atmosphere at Peduli Anak Elementary and Junior High Schools is filled with excitement and anticipation. A variety of competitions have been organised to give the children a fun way to celebrate together while enjoying time with their classmates.
At Peduli Anak Elementary School, the children took part in activities ranging from themed colouring and drawing competitions to fun games such as the straw relay, blindfolded prize-catching, marble races, and balloon relays. Meanwhile, the junior high school students took on their own challenges, including a cracker-eating race, the balloon shirt challenge, a cardboard relay, and a national knowledge quiz.
Fun, Laughter, and Friendly Competition
Each competition brought its own kind of excitement. The elementary students started by showing their creativity through colouring and drawing before taking part in games that tested their coordination, balance, and agility. Laughter and encouragement could be heard throughout the activities as they cheered each other on and took on every challenge with enthusiasm.
At the junior high school, the energy was just as lively. The different games encouraged students to stay active, work together, and enjoy a little healthy competition. The national knowledge quiz added another dimension to the celebrations, giving them a chance to test what they know while learning more about Indonesia’s history and Independence Day.
Celebrating Independence in Their Own Way
