Swimming Practice with Volunteers
At Peduli Anak, we believe that education does not only take place inside the classroom. Children need learning experiences that are enjoyable and varied, including activities that support their physical growth, emotional well-being, and confidence. That is why we are committed to providing a safe, complete, and supportive environment where they can learn through different activities, including sports.
One of the most anticipated activities is swimming practice at our own pool. This week felt especially meaningful as two volunteers, Heidi and Louise, joined the children throughout the activity. Their presence brought fresh encouragement and created a warm and cheerful learning atmosphere.
Comfortable Learning in the Pool
Having a swimming pool within our grounds allows the children to practice regularly and safely. They are already familiar with being in the water, and the session quickly filled with laughter, splashes, and excitement. The children practiced basic techniques while enjoying time with their friends.
Heidi and Louise, although not professional instructors, stepped into the water to support, accompany, and ensure the children felt comfortable throughout the session. Their presence made the activity even warmer and more enjoyable.

Learning Techniques in a Fun Way
The swimming practice is designed to be light, engaging, and enjoyable. The children worked on their breathing, kicking, and body balance through simple activities they already know. This approach helps them stay motivated to learn without feeling pressured by a formal training setting.
The volunteers took part by demonstrating movements, assisting children who needed extra help, and becoming fun companions in the water. Their encouragement brought more energy and positivity to the activity.
A Meaningful Moment Together
Beyond improving their swimming skills, the activity strengthened the bond between the children and the volunteers. Heidi and Louise had the opportunity to get to know the children better, while the children enjoyed having new supportive companions throughout the practice.
This swimming practice showed how warm interactions and genuine encouragement can make learning both effective and enjoyable. The children ended the session with bright smiles and growing confidence.
At Peduli Anak, moments like this remind us that the best kind of education is one that makes children feel safe, valued, and free to explore their abilities. We will continue to create activities that strengthen their skills while bringing joy and hope into their daily lives.
