Sumbawa Center Begins Operations
Peduli Anak Sumbawa Center officially opened on March 25, 2026, marking an important step in expanding our support to reach more children in a new area. This new chapter reflects our long-term commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and feel cared for.
Around 20 children are now living at Sumbawa Center together with foster mothers, counselors, and staff who support them in their daily lives. In these first weeks, the children have slowly started building new routines together, from sharing meals and studying to adjusting to life in a new environment filled with care and stability.
A Place Prepared for Children to Grow
Sumbawa Center has been fully prepared with facilities that support the children’s everyday needs. The center includes furnished bedrooms, learning spaces, a kitchen, office areas, living spaces for daily activities, and a clinic that supports the children’s health and well-being.
Every part of the center was designed to help children feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive, creating a space where they can live and grow safely.
New Opportunities, New Hope
More than just a new building, Sumbawa Center represents new opportunities and hope for children. A safe and supportive environment helps them build confidence, form healthy relationships, and look ahead to the future with greater optimism.
The presence of foster mothers, counselors, and staff also plays an important role in helping children feel supported as they adjust to their new surroundings.

The opening of Sumbawa Center is also an important step in extending Peduli Anak’s support to more children in a new region. Every part of the center was prepared not only for today’s needs, but also to help children build a stronger foundation for their future.
We believe that when children grow up in a safe and caring environment, they have a better chance to build confidence, feel supported, and imagine a brighter future for themselves.
