Recently, Elsa took part in a taekwondo promotion test along with her friends. She was tested on basic techniques such as kicks, punches, and splits—which she initially found challenging but managed to complete successfully. In the end, Elsa passed and advanced to the next level. After the test, she and her friends recited the Indonesian Taekwondo Oath as a symbol of pride and responsibility for their achievement. This moment became a valuable experience for Elsa in her taekwondo learning journey.
Sareah received an individual assignment for her Coastal Management course that required her to conduct field surveys at several beaches in Mataram. She was tasked with collecting data, documenting the current condition of the beaches, and creating a video presentation comparing their present state with how they looked in the past. Even without the help of a group, Sareah felt both challenged and excited to take on the process. She began planning the survey, preparing her documentation tools, and drafting interview questions for local residents. This assignment is expected not only to deepen her academic understanding but also to raise her awareness about the importance of protecting coastal environments.
Abdul took part in a drawing and coloring activity guided by Chayma, a volunteer from France. The activity took place in the afternoon after he finished his cleaning duty. Abdul chose to draw a dog and a superhero character of his own creation, coloring them with bright and cheerful tones. Although his drawing wasn’t perfect, he showed remarkable creativity and imagination. For Abdul, this was a fun moment to express himself while enjoying time with his friends.
Amar recently completed his Midterm Exams. Before the exams, he prepared by reviewing the lessons from his teachers and practicing with exercises in his student worksheets. Thanks to this preparation, Amar was able to complete his exams smoothly. He hopes to achieve satisfying results.
Farhan still needs to improve his writing skills. Every time he works on a writing assignment, he makes an effort to keep his handwriting neat and clean. In addition, he shows enthusiasm in learning Mathematics, especially when tasked with drawing fruits according to the given number in his student workbook. Farhan was able to complete the task well.
Gibran is currently in the process of developing his reading skills, as he still reads by sounding out each letter. However, he already recognizes letters and is able to write them well. Recently, Gibran has been practicing writing words that begin with the letter ‘g,’ such as guitar, octopus (gurita), bracelet (gelang), and so on.
During the Ramadan holiday, Ega stayed at the foundation and spent her time doing meaningful activities. She helped guide the younger children in House 10 and joined in making Eid cookies, including peanut cookies, with the foster mother from House 1. Ega looked excited in the kitchen, mixing ingredients and preparing the dough with great enthusiasm. She felt happy seeing the delicious and fragrant results of their baking. This moment became a sweet and meaningful memory for Ega during the holiday.
Sopian is still actively participating in French classes with several of his friends. Although the teacher has changed, Sopian’s enthusiasm for learning remains consistent. He continues to show progress, especially in expanding his vocabulary and understanding daily conversation examples that he can practice with his friends. During the lessons, Sopian is also accompanied by Ibu Nana, the foster mother from House 9, who also joins in learning French. Sopian’s commitment and consistency have helped his learning process run smoothly and sustainably.
Syafa’s reading skills are currently very strong. She can read a story titled “Lost in the Forest” fluently and with great confidence. In addition, she is also able to write sentences dictated by her teacher. Her handwriting appears neat, clean, and well-structured.
