The French language class at Peduli Anak is part of our non-formal education program aimed at expanding children’s access to global learning opportunities. Through structured yet supportive sessions, children are gradually introduced to a foreign language in an environment that encourages curiosity, participation, and confidence-building. This initiative goes beyond language acquisition by fostering cross-cultural awareness and essential life skills from an early age.

As part of Peduli Anak’s holistic education approach, the French language program enriches children’s learning experiences while complementing their formal education. By exposing children to new languages and cultures, the program helps broaden their perspectives and prepares them to engage more confidently with an increasingly interconnected world.

Volunteer-led learning focused on children

The class is facilitated by Louise, an international volunteer who brings both linguistic expertise and cultural insight into the classroom. Using simple, interactive, and child-centered teaching methods, Louise creates an inclusive learning environment where children feel safe to participate, ask questions, and express themselves.

Learning activities include educational games, conversational practice, and pronunciation exercises that introduce basic French vocabulary in everyday contexts. This approach supports not only language development but also communication skills, self-esteem, and social interaction among the children.

Long-Term Learning Impact

The French language class is held regularly twice a week, every Monday and Thursday afternoon. This consistent schedule helps children develop positive learning habits while ensuring continuity without disrupting their formal schooling.

Through ongoing participation, children gain valuable foreign language skills alongside important values such as discipline, responsibility, and cooperation. The class has become part of a stable and supportive routine that contributes to children’s academic, social, and emotional development.

Through programs like the French language class, Peduli Anak seeks to create meaningful learning opportunities that empower children to connect with the global community while remaining grounded in their own cultural identities. Language learning serves as a bridge—opening access to knowledge, confidence, and future possibilities.

With the continued support of international donors and partners, Peduli Anak remains committed to delivering inclusive, sustainable, and high-impact education programs. Each learning initiative represents a concrete step toward strengthening children’s resilience, potential, and long-term well-being.
