Herlina is the sixth of seven siblings and lives with her mother and three siblings following her parents’ divorce. Her mother frequently falls ill, making it difficult for the family to earn enough to cover their daily needs. To help support the family, Herlina and her siblings collect vegetables near the river to sell and help their neighbors with various tasks. Despite being nine years old, Herlina has never attended school due to financial hardship and the difficulty of reaching the nearest school. Support from Peduli Anak would help her access education, receive proper care, and have the opportunity to grow and develop as a child.
