Celebrating Talent and Courage at the Art Festival

Art has always been one of the ways our children express themselves, and we are proud to share that some of them recently had the opportunity to shine on a bigger stage. Our Primary School students participated in the Lingsar Sub-District Art Festival, joining children from schools across the region in a celebration of creativity and expression.

This year, our children took part in two categories: the Pantomime Performance and the Drawing Competition. Events like this not only provide a platform for the children to showcase their talent, but also help them grow in confidence and build new experiences.

Telling Stories Without Words

In the pantomime category, two of our children, Wahyu and Helmi, bravely stepped onto the stage. With nothing but gestures, facial expressions, and body movement, they told a story that captured the attention of the audience—and even the judges.

Their performance stood out not only for its creativity, but also for their ability to connect emotionally with the crowd. Wahyu and Helmi even interacted with the judges during their act, which made their performance lively and engaging. It was a proud moment to see them express themselves with such courage and enthusiasm.

A Voice Through Art

In the drawing competition, Laela represented Peduli Anak School with a beautiful piece that depicted a peaceful nature scene featuring a mountain, rice field, and river. Her composition highlighted her love for the environment and her attention to detail. This was Laela’s first time joining a competition, and although she was nervous, she gave it her all.

“I was nervous at first, but I’m really happy I got to join,” Laela shared. “I’ve never joined a drawing competition before, and I was proud to show my drawing and meet students from other schools.”

Her words reflect the excitement and personal growth our children experience through opportunities like these — a blend of learning, self-expression, and joyful challenge.

A Day to Remember

Participating in the Lingsar Art Festival was more than just a competition for our children. It was a day to celebrate their talents, explore their creativity, and connect with other children in their community. These moments outside of the classroom are just as important in shaping their development, building their confidence, and inspiring their dreams.

We are incredibly proud of Wahyu, Helmi, and Laela for their spirit and determination. Thank you to the event organizers for giving our children the space to shine. We look forward to joining more events like this in the future and continuing to support the growth of each child at Peduli Anak — on stage, on paper, and in life.
