Focused at Home

For the upcoming week, Tia will be participating in home-based learning as a way to support the smooth conduct of the National Exams for Grade XII students. Instead of attending school, she receives assignments from her teachers through a WhatsApp group. Despite studying from home, Tia remains disciplined in completing her tasks and following the instructions given. This arrangement allows the exams to proceed calmly without disruption from regular classroom activities.

Atun is currently taking the National Examination, which takes place over the course of about a week at her school. She follows all procedures with discipline, from arriving on time to bringing her exam ID card every day. The thorough preparation she did beforehand—such as intensive studying and practicing exam questions—has helped boost her confidence in facing the tests. She hopes her efforts will lead to satisfying results and allow her to graduate with good grades.

Nurul has been diligently preparing for her final school exams. She studies every night with Risna, accompanied by her foster mother. The exams are conducted online, and although she felt nervous at first, Nurul remains enthusiastic and optimistic about achieving satisfying results. Andi participated in a community service activity organized by the Student Executive Board at his university in collaboration with a Youth Organization. The event included a public dialogue themed “Assessing the Benefits of PT SJR’s Mining Governance in Sumbawa Regency,” attended by various community stakeholders. During the discussion, Andi actively voiced his views as a student representative. He emphasized the importance of transparency and community involvement in mining policies to ensure that the benefits are truly felt by the affected communities. His involvement reflects his concern for environmental issues and the sustainability of regional development.

Ila’s days have been busier than usual as she is currently focused on completing a paper for her Classroom Action Research course, which will determine her final semester grade. She spends her time studying in the library, looking for book references, and diligently copying important quotes. In addition, Ila actively seeks information online—through journals, educational blogs, and YouTube videos—to better understand the systematic steps of writing a research paper. Although she feels tired, she enjoys the process with enthusiasm and high hopes that she will complete the task on time and achieve the best results. For Ila, this is part of a small step toward her dream of becoming a great educator.

A few days ago, Nining Nurmalasari officially completed her graduation assessment (yudisium) and successfully earned her Bachelor of Education degree. As she awaits her upcoming graduation ceremony, she is filled with pride and happiness for this achievement. While preparing for her special day, Nining still makes time to assist foster mothers and counselors at Peduli Anak. She is deeply grateful for the support she received throughout her educational journey and hopes to take part in the graduation ceremony soon.

Yusri is currently busy working on his final report as a graduation requirement and preparing for commencement. He is waiting for approval from his academic advisor after completing the report carefully and according to the given guidance. If no further revisions are needed, Yusri can proceed to submit his graduation application and begin preparations for the graduation ceremony. He hopes the process goes smoothly so he can soon become an official graduation candidate.

Elma showed her care by actively assisting the counselor in various children’s activities during the Eid holiday. She was directly involved in the daily activities of the kindergarten children, held from Monday to Friday, working together with Alba, a volunteer from Spain. Together, they filled the children’s time with educational activities such as making crafts with plasticine, drawing, dancing, and playing pretend cooking games. Elma was not just a helper, but also part of the children’s joy and learning process. Her presence was a big help and created a warm, educational atmosphere, ensuring the activities ran smoothly despite the limited number of staff during the holiday.

Opik is now in the early part of his fourth semester and has become busy with various individual assignments from his lecturers. One of the tasks he frequently works on is creating graphic designs using digital media. These assignments help develop Opik’s creativity and technical skills in using software like Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and Canva. He is challenged to combine engaging visual elements with informative messages based on the assigned themes. Through these tasks, Opik continues to sharpen his abilities in the field of graphic design.
