Chess and Friendship

During the school break, Rosi spent his time playing chess with Jordan, Abdul, and Arga in the library. Although the atmosphere was relaxed, the activity helped them practice concentration, critical thinking, and teamwork. They took turns, gave each other feedback, and learned to appreciate waiting for their turn and accepting losses gracefully. Beyond sharpening their skills, the activity also strengthened their friendship. For Rosi and his friends, playing chess was a fun and meaningful way to spend their holiday in a positive way.

Irwansyah has become more consistent and enthusiastic about his afternoon runs as part of his healthy lifestyle. Accompanied by Dayat and Haikal, he runs a route from the house to the basketball court, encouraging each other along the way. Before running, Irwansyah always warms up to prevent injury, and after a few laps, he takes a short break to recover. For Irwansyah, running is not just a physical activity—it’s also a way to refresh his mind and cultivate positive energy in daily life.

Sakila joined a joint taekwondo training session with the Satria Tastura group, held at the foundation’s futsal field. Led by Sabeum (Coach) Deni, the training covered basic techniques such as apsugi (stance), footwork, and kicking. In addition to improving physical fitness and technical ability, the session aimed to build teamwork and identify potential future athletes. Sakila appeared focused and enthusiastic throughout the training. Her participation marked a positive step in developing both her talent and self-discipline.

Ayu and all her classmates in Grade 3 took part in a craft activity where they made pencil toppers shaped like lollipops. Using colorful origami paper, they twisted and shaped the paper to resemble candy, then glued it onto the end of their pencils. Ayu was enthusiastic throughout the process, from choosing the colors to attaching the decoration to her own pencil. This activity encouraged creativity and fine motor skills, while also making the learning experience more fun. Once they finished, the students felt proud and were even more excited to write using their newly decorated pencils.

Haekal regularly joins fitness sessions with his mentor as part of his awareness of the importance of staying healthy. He learns various age-appropriate exercises and enjoys each training session. This activity not only makes him fitter but also helps improve his discipline and self-confidence.

Enjel enthusiastically took part in science practicum exam by carefully observing the structure of red onion cells using a microscope. She prepared the specimen, observed it under different magnifications, recorded her findings, and drew a detailed diagram. Accompanied by Ms. Ima, Enjel showed active participation and wasn’t hesitant to ask questions when facing difficulties. Through this activity, Enjel gained valuable hands-on experience in laboratory observation and deepened her understanding of basic biology concepts. This practicum also aimed to boost her confidence in thinking and acting scientifically.

Ani and her friends joined a simple science experiment called “Elephant Toothpaste” in the schoolyard, together with students from Cita Buana School. They mixed ingredients like dish soap and instant yeast (fermi pan) into a bottle, creating an overflowing foam reaction that resembled a small explosion. The activity served as an exciting way to understand chemical reactions, the role of catalysts, and to spark interest in learning science. Ani was very enthusiastic throughout the session and received a small gift as appreciation. Under the supervision of Mr. Hamid, the experiment was both safe and fun.

Anjar took part in a joint Taekwondo training session with five other clubs and showed great confidence during the sparring session. He faced Deva from the Tegar Baja club and secured a win through strong strategy and focus. This experience became a powerful motivation for Anjar to continue improving his skills in martial arts.

Anisa was assigned to write a paper about petroleum for her Chemistry class. She worked on the assignment after school with her group of four other classmates. To complete the paper efficiently, they divided the tasks among themselves. Anisa was responsible for writing the introduction and the section on the origin of petroleum, while the others worked on the remaining parts. Once the paper was finished, Anisa and her group presented it in front of the class. With Anisa’s confident presentation and the well-structured content, their group received praise from the teacher.
