Setelah belum berhasil diterima di Poltekkes, Lasmin tetap berusaha dan mendaftar melalui jalur UMPB Gelombang II di Politeknik Negeri Batam. Ia mengikuti tes CBT dan tes menggambar karena memilih program studi Animasi sebagai salah satu pilihannya.
