PLEASE HELP!!! Atika’s has eye surgery
The left cornea of Atika Azizah (3) is almost damaged due to an infection that started from a small insect bite. The infection has worsened to the point where her pupil has turned white. According to the doctor’s diagnosis, Atika’s eye has an infection called Corneal Leukoma, and immediate surgical treatment is required to cure it.
If left untreated, her right eye could also become infected, leading to permanent blindness. Her condition has worsened due to the unhealthy environment at her home. Atika’s parents work as palm oil laborers in Kalimantan, leaving her to live with her elderly grandmother, who works as a sand miner in the river for only Rp 5,000 per bucket.
The surgery required for Atika is quite costly, especially as it can only be done outside the city. At present, Atika can only play alone because she is embarrassed to play with her friends due to her eye condition.
The Yayasan Peduli Anak is concerned about Atika’s situation and believes she needs immediate treatment and surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is high. Therefore, they are urging friends to help Atika by donating a small amount.
