27 Nov’17 – This year, Lotus Bayview Restaurant, Senggigi, Lombok invited 85 children and staff of Peduli Anak to make and eat pizzas together at their beautiful beachfront restaurant, while enjoying the sunset.

For many of the kids, they already had a great time making pizza and eating pizza at this famous Italian restaurant because the Chef of restaurant, Maurizio, held this event almost every year. For some kids, though, this was their first time making pizza, eat pizza or even going to a nice restaurant. However, for all of them, it was a special day and you could see it from their face. Some kids were eager to work in the kitchen making pizza from scratch. The Italian Chef Maurizio, who has lived in Lombok for decades, was very happy and patient to teach the kids too.

Other children who didn’t make pizzas waited patiently at their table for the dinner to be served by their friends and friendly Lotus’ staff. When the pizzas were ready, the children ate everything served on their plate! When we asked what they just ate, they said, “Snack!” Everybody laughed.

Before we left, we took a group photo on the beach. Surely, this will be another beautiful memory for our children. Thank you to Chef Maurizio and all the staff for making this happen.
